April L. Watson practices primarily in the areas of
commercial litigation, medical malpractice, and product
liability. She earned her law degree from Loyola Law
School with an emphasis in both common and civil law.
She graduated in the top ten percent of her division,
and was a recipient of the Loyola Law Dean’s Scholarship.
She earned a Certificate in International Law, and studied
law in Vienna, Austria, Budapest, Hungary, and San Jose,
Costa Rica. Ms. Watson served as the President of the
Association of Women Law Students, and was awarded a
Certificate of Achievement for representing the law
school at a national conference in Boston. Ms. Watson
earned her undergraduate degree from California Lutheran
University.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Watson had a successful
career in the healthcare industry where she worked on
Medicare beneficiary outreach programs and hospital
quality improvement projects. She also worked collaboratively
on an inter-agency federal fraud unit that worked to
reduce Medicare and Medicaid fraud. She is a member
of the New Orleans, Louisiana State and Federal Bar
Associations.
