Drue Banta is an associate and practices primarily in the area of commercial
real estate. She earned her Juris Doctorate and Bachelor
of Civil Law degree in May of 2005 from the Paul M.
Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, graduating
Order of the Coif. She received the CALI Award in International
Contracts, Comparative Constitutional Law, International
Terrorism and International Law, Successions and Donations,
and Family Law. She also studied abroad in Lyon, France.
During law school, Drue was actively involved in student
organizations. She served as president of Phi Alpha
Delta Law Fraternity where she revitalized the dormant
chapter into one of the most active student organizations
on Campus. She was also a contributing writer and copy
editor of the Civilian, the law center's monthly student-published
newspaper.
Drue earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science
from Louisiana State University graduating summa cum
laude.
Prior to attending law school, Drue had a successful
career in marketing and fundraising. She is a former
member of the Board of Directors of the Young Leadership
Council and the Greater New Orleans Republicans.
