1.   Statewide survey of Lawyers through 16,000 ballots mailed to    active Louisiana lawyers.

2.   Independent candidate search by Law & Politics’ research department

3.   Evaluation of candidates by Law & Politics’ research department

4.   Peer evaluation by practice area

5.   Final selection of those with the highest point totals from each category
