When hiring associates, we consider personal characteristics,
scholastic achievements, and extracurricular activities.
Existing associates are involved with interviewing and
hiring new associates and summer associates. With our
team environment, it is important for associate applicants
to get to know their peers and gain insight into what
it is like to be an associate at our firm. We offer
associate positions only to persons who we believe have
the potential to become partners.
Each associate's performance is evaluated annually.
The evaluation involves submission of a written assessment
of the associate's performance by each evaluating lawyer,
which is discussed at length by all partners and then
directly with the associate.
