Eric M. Schorr is certified by the Louisiana Board of Legal Specialization as a Specialist in Estate Planning and Estate Administration. He practices with the firm primarily in the areas of Trusts, Estate Planning and Probate. He received his undergraduate degree from Tulane University (cum laude) and his Juris Doctor from the Loyola University School of Law, where he graduated third in his division. He served on the editorial board of the Loyola University Journal of Public Interest Law as Articles Editor and was a founding member of the Maritime Law Society and was a member of Delta Theta Phi International Legal Fraternity. Mr. Schorr has received several awards for Law Excellence in the areas of Federal Taxation of Wealth Transmission and Federal Income Taxation.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Schorr had a successful career in the financial services industry as a general securities principal where he acquired an in-depth understanding of investments and financial planning as well as securities regulation. Mr. Schorr is also an approved FINRA Dispute Resolution Arbitrator.
Mr. Schorr is a member of the New Orleans, Louisiana State, American and Federal Bar Associations, and is admitted to practice before all Louisiana State and Federal Courts, the United States Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
