Kirsten Smith practices in the firm’s licensing compliance and regulatory compliance practice areas. She earned her law degree from Tulane University Law School in 2009, graduating magna cum laude with a Certificate in Admiralty and Maritime Law. Ms. Smith served as Managing Editor of the Tulane Maritime Law Journal, and published her note, Should Vessel Managers be Considered “Carriers” Under COGSA? 32 Tul. Mar. L.J. 645 (2008). During her second year of law school she competed in the Judge John R. Brown National Admiralty Moot Court Competition, and served as team coach for the team during her third year. Ms. Smith was also a member of the Tulane Domestic Violence Law Clinic.
Ms. Smith, who grew up on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, received her undergraduate degree from the University of Mississippi in 2006. She is licensed to practice law in Louisiana and New York.
