Burleson practices in the areas of commercial,
securities, consumer and employment litigation.
Ms. Burleson’s securities litigation includes
representing clients in cases before the State
Securities Board, FINRA, and the Securities and
Exchange Commission. Her employment practice includes
representing employers in cases involving discrimination,
harassment, wrongful discharge, contract disputes,
and wage payment issues before the state and federal
court. Ms. Burleson also handles claims for the
Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Department
of Labor, and other administrative agencies. Ms.
Burleson represents oil, gas and chemical companies,
manufacturers and distributors, real estate brokers
and agents, and wholesale/retail businesses in
a variety of matters, and has developed an expertise
in disputes in violations of employment and confidentiality
agreements.
While attending Baylor University of Law, where
she graduated cum laude, Ms. Burleson served as
the Executive Editor of the Baylor Law Review
in 2004, and an Articles Editor and Associate
Editor in 2002-2003. Ms. Burleson also served
as a member of the Order of Barristers.
