Addition of L. Scott Joanen as Associate in Metairie, Louisiana Office

On November 1st, 2011, Scott Joanen, joined the firm as an associate in the Metairie, Louisiana office.

Scott is a trial attorney with over 15 years of courtroom experience. Upon graduating from Louisiana State University (Baton Rouge), Scott attended Loyola Law School where he graduated in 1992.

Following graduation, Scott was an assistant district attorney in Orleans Parish, Louisiana, where he prosecuted hundreds of felony offenses. Since then, he has been engaged exclusively in litigation in Louisiana and California and has developed a special expertise handling class actions. Scott has tried over 100 cases to verdict, including numerous jury trials in both Louisiana and California.

Scott is admitted to practice in all federal and state courts in Louisiana and California; the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth and Ninth Circuits; and the United States Supreme Court.

Addition of John C. Person as Senior Counsel in Metairie, Louisiana Office

On July 1st, 2011, John Person, joined the firm as senior counsel in the Metairie, Louisiana office.

John brings a wealth of trial and appellate experience to the firm’s commercial litigation and consumer defense group.

John graduated with honors from Rutgers in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. After serving as a Commissioned Officer in the NOAA Corps aboard an oceanographic vessel in the Pacific, he attended the Gonzaga School of Law, graduating with honors in 1982, and then obtained a Master of Laws degree from Tulane Law School in 1983. After law school, John gained extensive first-chair trial and appellate experience handling significant domestic and international commercial dispute litigation in federal and state courts on both the plaintiff and defense side, and he has a great number of reported decisions in his name. He is listed as a preeminent commercial litigator in The Legal 500 legal referral guide and is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

He is a member of the New York State Bar, the Washington, D.C. Bar, and the Louisiana State Bar.

Flemington, New Jersey Office Opening / Addition of Associates Aaron R. Easley and Ross S. Enders

On June 1st, 2011, the firm opened its newest regional office in Flemington, New Jersey.

Our resident attorneys are Aaron R. Easley and Ross S. Enders.

Aaron R. Easley practices in the areas of consumer defense and commercial litigation in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He has extensive first chair trial experience in federal and state courts, AAA proceedings, and administrative hearings. Aaron graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1994. He received his MBA degree from the University of Minnesota and his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University. During law school, Aaron worked with the Consumer Bankruptcy Assistance Project and participated in trial advocacy and moot court competitions. After law school, Aaron served as a law clerk to the Honorable Geoffrey M. Aprin of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia (1994-1996). Prior to joining the Firm, Aaron was a litigator specializing in the defense of consumer claims against automobile dealers. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and the District of Columbia.

Ross R. Enders practices in our New Jersey office with the Consumer Defense Group. Mr. Enders brings an extensive knowledge of the collection industry having worked 7 years as an executive for a national collection agency. Prior to beginning his collection industry career, he was an associate with a Philadelphia firm specializing in the defense of medical malpractice and personal injury cases. Ross graduated from The Pennsylvania State University in 1996. He earned his law degree from Rutgers School of Law – Camden in 2002. While at Rutgers, Ross was the Lead Technical Editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law and Religion. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.

Addition of Leslye E. Moseley as Associate in Dallas, TX Office

On January 28, 2011, Leslye E. Moseley, joined the firm as an associate in the Dallas, TX office.

Leslye has practiced with a mid-sized Dallas firm Munsch Hardt Kipf & Harr focusing on a broad spectrum of commercial litigation.

Lesley graduated from Southern Methodist University, cum laude and Order of the Barristers and was admitted to the Texas bar in 2005. She received her undergraduate degree from Texas A&M, majoring in Agricultural Journalism and Agricultural Economics.

Leslye enjoys many activities and honors: Associate Producers of Dallas Summer Musicals; Dallas Association of Young Lawyers; Dallas Bar Association-Business Litigation, Employee Benefits/Executive Compensation Section; P. E. Higginbotham American Inn of Court.

Leslye also works with David R. Clouston and Christopher R. Richie helping coach the SMU Mock Trial Team.
