Jessica A. Hawkins practices in the areas of consumer litigation, securities litigation and enforcement, and complex commercial litigation.  Ms. Henson has assisted clients from publicly-traded companies to individuals, in both litigation and administrative settings, including the successful enforcement of trade secret and non-compete obligations, litigation with the SEC, state securities boards, and FINRA.  Ms. Hawkins also represents debt collectors, debt buyers and their clients defending consumer claims.

Prior to law school, Ms. Hawkins practiced for five years as a mechanical engineer in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, focusing on building systems design.

Ms. Hawkins received her Bachelors of Science in mechanical engineering, graduating cum laude in 2000 from Oklahoma Christian University.  She received her Juris Doctorate cum laude in 2011 from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, where she practiced as a student attorney in the SMU Criminal Justice Clinic and competed on multiple SMU national mock trial teams.  In 2011, Ms. Hawkins was named to the Order of Barristers.  She is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, and Dallas Area Young Lawyers.
