John C. Person joined the firm in 2010, bringing a wealth of trial and appellate experience to the commercial litigation and consumer defense group. John graduated with honors from Rutgers in 1975 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. After serving as a Commissioned Officer in the NOAA Corps aboard an oceanographic vessel in the Pacific, he attended the Gonzaga School of Law, graduating with honors in 1982, and then obtained a Master of Laws degree from Tulane Law School in 1983. After law school, John gained extensive first-chair trial and appellate experience handling significant domestic and international commercial dispute litigation in federal and state courts on both the plaintiff and defense side, and has a great number of reported decisions in his name. He is listed as a preeminent commercial litigator in The Legal 500 legal referral guide and is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.
He is a member of the New York State Bar, the Washington, D.C. Bar, and the Louisiana State Bar.
